Apple Cinnamon Bun Roses
Honestly, I would not even call this recipe. More like a tutorial. I used Pillsbury cinnamon roll dough, apples, cinnamon and sugar- that's it.
Also, does anyone still find opening those canisters scary. It's worse than a jack in the box.
And, I know these aren't the healthiest, but they are tasty and pretty for parties. I would not make them for breakfast or a healthy snack, even though they have apples haha. But, I am happy how fancy they turned out... since I am soooo not fancy.
Apple Cinnamon Bun Roses
Ingredients
- Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with frosting
- 2 red apples
- 2 tsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
Directions
I did not realize my cutting board was upside down until wayy after this picture haha. opps |
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Grease muffin pan
- Slice apples as thin as you can.
- Microwave apples for 30 seconds until soft.
- Take a roll and unroll it until it is a long piece of dough.
- Flatten dough and lay apple slices on top half of dough. Picture to the right.
- Start rolling. The apples are slippery, so you might need to readjust them.
- Once rolled, place in muffin pan.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until dough golden brown.
- Let cool and then drizzle frosting.
Over all though, it turned out way fancier than I expected :)
