Apple Cinnamon Bun Roses

Honestly, I would not even call this recipe.  More like a tutorial.  I used Pillsbury cinnamon roll dough, apples, cinnamon and sugar- that's it.

Also, does anyone still find opening those canisters scary.  It's worse than a jack in the box.

And, I know these aren't the healthiest, but they are tasty and pretty for parties.  I would not make them for breakfast or a healthy snack, even though they have apples haha. But, I am happy how fancy they turned out... since I am soooo not fancy.

Apple Cinnamon Bun Roses

Ingredients

Directions
I did not realize my cutting board was upside down until wayy
after this picture haha. opps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Grease muffin pan
  3. Slice apples as thin as you can.
  4. Microwave apples for 30 seconds until soft.
  5. Take a roll and unroll it until it is a long piece of dough.
  6. Flatten dough and lay apple slices on top half of dough. Picture to the right.
  7. Start rolling.  The apples are slippery, so you might need to readjust them.
  8. Once rolled, place in muffin pan.
  9. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until dough golden brown.
  11. Let cool and then drizzle frosting.
I tried to put the frosting in a bowel as a dipping sauce... that was a fail.  The frosting hardened and it could not be dipped in.  So, you can either drizzle the frosting on top or mix the icing they give you with cream cheese or some creamer to thin it out for dipping.
Over all though, it turned out way fancier than I expected :)
