Okay, and now the recipe!
Cauliflower Pizza Crust
After baking for 20 minutes |
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cauliflower rice (about small to medium cauliflower head)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 eggs (we substituted this with 1 egg and 1 flax seed egg (1 tbsp of ground flax seed and 2.5 tbsp of water and let sit for about 3 minutes) *I am trying to encourage everyone to try to switch one food or recipe ingredient to animal based protein J
- Also, the crust came out a little soft, so I would add ½ cup of almond flour to make it more durable.
- Cheese and toppings of your choice!
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Microwave cauliflower rice for about 6-8 minutes, until translucent color.
- Then put in thin cloth and drain as much water as you can out (let cauliflower cool a little before you do this… your hands will thank you haha).
- Mix all ingredients and press into crust on a pan lined with parchment paper.
- Cook without toppings for 20 minutes.
- Add toppings and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Then, ENJOY!
